PRUITT, Ark. – The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department is hosting a meeting in Jasper about some plans to replace an aging bridge in Pruitt.

According to a release from the department, officials would like to hear from local people about replacing the 85-year-old bridge in Pruitt on Highway 7. Officials with the state department say this meeting is a causal come and go-style, where people can take a look at different plans for replacing the bridge over the Buffalo National River in Pruitt.

The public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Newton County Senior and Wellness Center. If you can’t swing by the meeting, you go to the local office in, just outside of Harrison, in Bellfonte and pick up a copy of the plans.

Exact address is 4590 Hwy 65 S, Harrison, AR 72601.
