BOONE/MARION, Ark. – Lead Hill and Summit will be getting some improvements thanks to the Arkansas State Highway Commission approving a bid for resurfacing.
According to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, construction on Prairie and Cherry Streets in Lead Hill should start up within the next month. Additionally, crews will begin repaving Seawell Avenue in Summit in the next two to four weeks.
State Highway Commission Officials say they approved Marion County Paving LLC, out of Summit, to do the roadwork for a cost of a little over 407-thousand dollars.
Construction on all three streets is slated for completion by mid-2016.
