BRANSON, Mo. – Cox Medical Center Branson dedicates its Critical Care Waiting Area to a local business owner.
In appreciation to his many years of unyielding service to the medical center, Bob Simmons was honored Thursday morning, with the unveiling of a permanent plaque placed in the Critical Care Waiting Area on the second floor of the hospital.
Prior to the hospital becoming Cox Medical Center Branson, Simmons joined the Skaggs Community Hospital Board of Directors in 1988. Over a 27-year span he served as chairman, vice chairman, treasurer and member-at-large, before his retirement from the board in 2015. Simmons also served as interim CEO in 2009.
The Critical Care Waiting Area was part of a 30-million-dollar expansion and renovation project completed in 2015.
