HARRISON, Ark. – North Arkansas Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Rick D. Heiser, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, CLT, has joined its team as Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine.
Mr. Heiser is certified in Lymphedema Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, & Hand Therapy. He is also a licensed Occupational Therapist. Rick is a fellow of the Texas Women’s University Hand Therapy. He earned his clinical Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Profession in Provo, UT, and his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy form Kansas Newman College, Wichita, KS.
Rick has spoken twice and presented research projects at national conferences, and the South Carolina Occupational Therapy Associational annual convention. He has published lead articles in peer reviewed scholarly journals, and wrote the lead article in a quarterly publication for the American Society of Hand Therapists. Mr. Heiser also performed editorial duties for a book published by the American Society of Hand Therapists, and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery.
Prior to joining NRMC, Mr. Heiser was employed in Missouri, Texas, and Alaska in a variety of capacities including management.
Rick enjoys his pets, loves being outdoors, (hiking, boating, floating, fishing, & gardening). He is a pianist, song writer, and loves cooking, wood working and craft projects.
