FORSYTH, Mo. – A man from High Ridge, Missouri charged in connection with the robbery of an Indian Point police vehicle appears in court this week and enters a plea of not guilty to three felony charges.

Thirty-eight-year-old Joshua Hutson remains in the Taney County Jail on 50-thousand dollars bond. His public defender is asking for a bond reduction, and that motion will be considered by Judge Tony Williams on April 5th.

Hutson was arrested March 14th while trying to elude law enforcement at The Vineyards condominiums in Branson. He allegedly stole a patrol cruiser during a traffic stop on Indian Point Road, then crashed the vehicle and fled on foot.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage, but a police dog inside the cruiser was returned unharmed to the department.

Hutson is charged with first-degree burglary, resisting arrest and tampering with a motor vehicle.
