Reeds Spring Aldermen Candidates Visit KRZK

by Sam Clanton

BRANSON, Mo. – Voters in the City of Reeds Spring will decide two contested aldermen races in the municipal election April 5th.

Candidates seeking office visited the KRZK studios on Tuesday to discuss important topics with Scott McCaulley on his At Your Service program.

Three people are running for the Ward 2 position currently held by Tim Supernor. Matt Amberg is a business owner who is relatively new to Reeds Spring. He says he’d like to help draw new businesses to the community…

Supernor says he is pleased with the progress being made in Reeds Spring, and wants to continue serving on the board to ensure the city keeps moving forward at a steady pace…

Also seeking the two-year position in Ward 2 is former alderman T. Gordon Weathers, who was unable to participate in the live radio broadcast.

In Ward 1, incumbent Melvin Massey is seeking re-election, and is facing a challenge from local business owner Flavie Lear. When asked by McCaulley, Massey stated he believes Reeds Spring can continue to grow and develop without a City Administrator…

Lear disagrees with Massey on the issue. She believes a City Administrator is important to Reeds Spring…

On this specific topic, the Ward 2 candidates are also split, with Amberg stating he is in favor of reinstating the position of City Administrator, and Supernor stating he believes the city can continue to operate fine without one.
