NIXA, MO. – Six area fire departments respond to a residential structure fire early this (Wednesday) morning in Nixa.

The call came into dispatch just after 1:30 a.m. as “a fire on a back porch.” Upon arrival to the home, the Nixa Fire Protection District found the fire had quickly spread from the porch to the attic. A second alarm was then issued to request assistance from the Logan-Rogersville, Battlefield, Clever, Ozark and Highlandville Fire Departments.

A family of four did safely evacuate the home and no injuries are being reported. The investigation found the fire to be accidental in nature, but the cause of the fire remains unknown due to the extent of the fire damage.

Much of the personal property was salvageable from the home, however, the home was deemed a complete loss.
