Gentry Wins Republican Sheriff Nomination in Carroll

CARROLL COUNTY, Ark – Jack Gentry is the Republican nomination for Carroll County Sheriff.

The unofficial results from the Carroll County republican runoff election show Jack Gentry Jr, a police officer in Harrison, defeated Jason Hunt, the Police Chief of Oak Grove.

Jack Gentry joined us in the studio last month and told Hometown Daily News of the issues he feels need to be addressed locally:



While the results won’t be processed until Monday morning, the current results show Gentry with 295 votes and Hunt with 252 votes.

Gentry will now be running against the current Carroll County Sheriff Randy Mayfield in the November election.
