Creswell Pleads Guilty, Receives Probation

CASSVILLE, Mo. – A former fire marshal for Southern Stone County Fire Protection District receives a suspended execution of sentence requiring two years of unsupervised probation, after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of sexual misconduct.

Forty-six-year-old Michael Creswell, formerly of Kimberling City, appeared in Barry County Circuit Court, where his case was moved on a change of venue, and pleaded guilty before Judge Jack Goodman on Monday, during a hearing that was scheduled as a pre-trial conference.

His April 13th jury trial is now stricken.

Creswell was originally charged with felony sexual assault, after allegedly coercing a female firefighter-in-training to have sex with him while on the job back in 2013.

Creswell now resides in the state of Maryland, according to court records.
