Ward 3 Candidates Differ on Approach to Managing Growth

by Sam Clanton

BRANSON, Mo. – Candidates seeking election as alderman for Branson’s Ward 3 appeared on KRZK’s At Your Service with Scott McCaulley on Monday.

Current P&Z commission member Betsy Seay and former alderman Stephen Marshall are both looking to fill the seat being vacated by Rick Davis in the April 5th municipal election.

While Seay and Marshall agree on many subjects, the candidates expressed differences when it comes to the board’s role in fostering development in the city. Seay believes in a proactive approach on the part of aldermen…

Marshall says Branson has a legislative form of government, and it’s the role of aldermen to act as a conduit between citizens and the city, and to set policies that help the different departments control and manage growth…

Whoever is elected in Ward 3 will serve a two-year term on the Branson Board of Aldermen.
