Ward 1 Candidates Discuss Business Climate in Branson

BRANSON, Mo. – Incumbent Branson Ward 1 Alderman Mike Booth and election challenger Lori Ashlock Ruda visited the KRZK studios Monday morning to speak with Scott McCaulley on At Your Service.

One topic of discussion was the idea of Branson being a business-friendly community, where construction is encouraged, and the city works with developers to ensure a smooth process. McCaulley asked each candidate how they plan to address negative feedback in this regard, and ensure the city is accommodating to developers.

Booth says while building codes and the planning process is always important, some positive steps have been taken over the last couple of years, and overall the business climate is improving:
