JENKINS, Mo. – A Barry County home is deemed a complete loss following an early morning fire today (on Tuesday), near Jenkins.
Trey Phillips, Captain of the Jenkins Volunteer Fire Protection District says at approximately 2:45 a.m. they were dispatched to a residence halfway between Highway 76 and Highway 248 on Highway 39:
Phillips says the origin of the fire surrounded an electrical panel and a wood stove, so the direct cause of the fire is unclear at this time. Phillips adds the Central Crossing Fire Protection District in Shell Knob assisted in their attack on the home by supplying additional man power, a fire engine and a tanker truck.
