FEMA Approves Over $75 Million for State Flood Assistance

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – FEMA announces over 75-million-dollars is approved for Missouri flood survivors.

Almost three months ago, 33 counties across the state suffered the effects of heavy rains and flood waters. Since that time nearly 12-million-dollars has been granted to 23-hundred individuals and families form emergency home repairs and replacement of damaged property.

Approximately 12-million-dollars was approved for U-S Small Business Administration low-interest disaster loans to more than 270 homeowners, renters and businesses. Additionally, over 52-million-dollars has been made in National Flood Insurance Program payments.

Today (Monday) is the final day to register for federal assistance.

Individuals may register for disaster aid online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling FEMA’s toll-free registration line at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
