BRANSON, MO — Faith Community Health (FCH) has released their community impact statement for 2015. Kenn Tilus, Executive Director, noted that clinic revenues from patient fees more than doubled from the prior year, reflecting increased patient volume. FCH began operations in 2010 with a mission to provide health care for the large portion of the workforce in Taney and Stone counties that are either uninsured or underinsured. Over 4,500 people have registered for assistance to date.

While patients at Faith are required to pay for a portion of their care, based on income qualification, the average patient fee covered just over 8% of the total retail value of care delivered in 2015. The value of contributions by corporate and community partners totaled nearly $2.5 million in cash, goods, and services. The remaining cost of care was covered by local businesses and individuals who donate generously to FCH to assist their area friends and neighbors who may be unable to afford most healthcare services.

Tilus stated that while donations increased by nearly 60% in 2015, they were insufficient to keep up with the growth in patients seeking care at Faith Community Health.

“We need to raise nearly $200,000 this year to be able to adequately serve the growing number of patients who are coming to us for care,” Tilus said. “For every dollar donated last year, FCH was able to provide more than $37 in clinic services, a tremendous value,” he continued. Only 2% of donations were used for fundraising costs in 2015, reflecting Faith’s commitment to make the best use of donor funds.

FCH provides medical, dental, vision, and mental health care including lab and non-narcotic pharmacy services onsite. The clinic also provides exercise classes and wellness services. In response to a survey last summer asking about self-perceptions of their health, 94% of patients responded that their overall health was better over the last 12 months since they had been coming to Faith Community Health. People who are interested in healthcare services at FCH can find more information at and on Facebook.
