Republic Fire to Conduct Liquefied Propane Gas Class

REPUBLIC, Mo. – The Republic Fire Department is conducting a Liquefied Propane Gas Emergency Class for Firefighters this Saturday.

From 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. crews will receive an overview of LP gas properties and characteristics, as well as be provided the opportunity to participate in an actual fire attack on an LP tank fire.

Additional topics will include common storage containers in residential and commercial use, as well as the components of different types of transport vehicles.

From 7 to 9 p.m. crews will take on an actual fire attack on a controlled LP tank fire at Fire Station Number Two. The Republic Fire Department wishes to make drivers and local residents aware that the controlled LP tank fire will be visible from State Highway MM and James River Freeway.
