HARRISON, Ark. – People in Harrison are taking a stand against cigarettes for national “Kick Butts Day”, tomorrow (Wednesday).
Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway says he will be issuing an official proclamation at the court house at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
He says the official county document highlights the dangers of smoking and how important it is that kids seize control against tobacco companies.
Officials with the North Arkansas Partnership for Health Education, the group who pushed for the smoke free initiative at Harrison Park, will also be hosting a number of events around town.
People are asked to “Kick Butts” by picking up trash such as cigarettes butts in public areas.
According to N-A-O-H-E, Arkansas ranks almost the worst in the United States, when it comes to smoking cessation.
