UPDATE: Police Vehicle Recovered; Suspect in Custody

BRANSON, Mo. – Taney County Sheriff Jimmie Russell reports a police vehicle stolen from Indian Point Village today has been recovered, and a suspect is in custody.

Russell says deputies located the Dodge Durango patrol cruiser in an area off of Highway 265, behind The Vineyards condominium complex in Branson…

 

 

The suspect has not been identified, pending formal charges.

Russell says the vehicle was stolen during a traffic stop on Indian Point Road, just before noon today.

Indian Point’s police dog was inside the vehicle at the time of the robbery, and has been returned to the department unharmed, according to Russell.
