FLIPPIN, Ark. – A man from Flippin pleads not guilty to aggravated assault charges this week, stemming from allegations he beat a Gassville man with a lead pipe.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Department says 32-year-old Richard Hamilton forced his way into the house of 41-year-old Dwayne Douglas and hit him with a pipe on February 13th.

Authorities say they have been called to several domestic disturbances on County Road 4, due to disputes between neighbors. Last week, Douglas himself was arrested for assaulting a deputy at the same residence from the February incident.

Hamilton will appear in court again on Thursday.
