Press Release from EFB
BRANSON, Mo. – After 22 years as an early morning ritual for thousands in the Tri-Lakes area, Earls Family Broadcasting announces today that the award-winning Steve and Janet in the Morning show will end its run on 106.3 KRZK July 22.
Janet Ellis will stay with the company, while Steve Willoughby is creating his own business, Speaking of Willoughby.
“It’s been amazing. We have been able to serve a region where people want to spend their vacations. It’s been fun, challenging, and I will miss being a part of the show. Janet is a true talent and was the perfect counter balance to me,” said Willoughby, who also serves as the station’s general manager.
Ellis added, “For 22 years I have been blessed to start my day with a smart, funny; sometimes sarcastic, true radio professional. I have learned a great deal from him and know he will be extremely successful in this next phase of his life.”
“There is a special dynamic with Steve and Janet and the Earls family is proud to have had them on KRZK for over 20 years,” said Scott Earls, CEO for Earls Family Broadcasting.
The company is considering options on replacing the program.
“We want to focus on having the best product that serves our listeners and advertisers. We also want the next three months to be fun, exciting, and create great radio as this era comes to an end. Luckily, Janet is staying on and that adds some very exciting opportunities,” said Josh Grisham, Earls Family Broadcasting Operations Manager.
Earls Family Broadcasting owns and operates five radio stations and two television stations, including The Vacation Channel.
