FORSYTH, Mo. – After two months of slightly declining and nearly flat revenues, Taney County Treasurer Melanie Smith reports sales tax receipts of over 1-point-8-5 million dollars, marking an increase of more than 22-percent compared to March of last year.
Taney County ended 2015 with an overall increase of 5-point-7 percent. January receipts were down 3-point-7 percent, while February receipts were just point-4 percent below 2015.
With the latest income, revenues are now up 4-point-3 percent, year-to-date, for 2016.
Smith reports a General County Revenue balance of more than 1-point-7 million dollars.
