BRANSON, Mo. – The Branson Tree Board continues to support special events in the city, and is taking on a new project this spring to plant shrubs and trees in the roadway islands of Gretna Road.

Vice Chair Clark Harris says flooding in late December has impacted some of the board’s efforts to plant trees along hiking trails in the city…

Harris says the tree board will continue to sponsor Beautification Awards this year, between the months of May and October.

Harris points out that thanks to funds allocated by the Board of Aldermen, the tree board and parks department now share a seasonal employee to assist with various projects, including some of the larger events like Arbor Day and Arbor Fest.
