Ozark County Man Injured in Monday Night Crash

GAINESVILLE, Mo. – A man from Brixey, Missouri receives moderate injuries in a single vehicle crash Monday night, 13 miles north of Gainesville in Ozark County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 54-year-old Gregory Wells was traveling southbound on Route 181 at 6:30 p.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off of the left side of the roadway and down a steep embankment.

Wells was transported by ambulance to the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. He was additionally cited for driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving and for not wearing a seatbelt, according to the online arrest report.
