Woman Sentenced in Stone Co. Home Invasion

GALENA, Mo. – A woman from Reeds Spring is sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in a 2014 home invasion.

Stone County Prosecutor Matt Selby says officers arrived at a residence on Y Highway to find stolen items in a car, with 48-year-old Sandra Hall in the driver’s seat.

Selby says Hall had knowledge of the family who owned the house, and knew they planned to be away.

However, a 15-year-old female resident of the home was there when the break-in occurred, and hid in a closet calling 911 and her older brother, who arrived while the burglary was still in progress.

The brother entered the home and exchanged gunfire with two men, 33-year-old Joshua Brown and 37-year-old Dennis Brown, Jr., both of Kimberling City, who fled on foot before being apprehended by deputies.

Joshua and Dennis Brown are now serving 13 and 15-year prison terms, respectively, for convictions on charges of burglary, robbery, assault and armed criminal action.
