VALLEY SPRINGS, Ark. – A former Valley Springs middle school teacher is given a 30 year sentence today (Friday), after pleading guilty to having sexual relations with student where she worked.
Twenty-nine-year-old Brittney Breedlove from Valley Springs pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree sexual abuse, according to the ruling of Judge John Putman in court.
Boone County Circuit Court records show Breedlove was originally charged in October with one count of rape and another of sexual assault of a person under 14.
The Valley Springs School board reported on August 31st, they met in special session to accept Breedlove’s resignation letter from the district, effective five days prior. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says she was arrested September 10th and was out on a 25-thousand dollar bond.
Putman says Breedlove will serve both terms simultaneously.
