HARRISON, Ark. – More than two million dollars in improvements will be made to the welcome center outside of Harrison.
Officials with the Arkansas department of Highway and Transportation say this project consist of completely reconstructing the local Arkansas Welcome Center and maintenance building on Highway 65, just north of Harrison.
The State Highway Commission says the 2,249,887 dollars of work will be done by Dayco construction of Damascus.
Officials with the department say construction will begin next month, weather permitting.
