AVA, Mo. – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office releases information regarding the February 16th, arrest of two individuals in Douglas County.
Sheriff Chris Degase reports his department received a tip on the 16th, regarding the whereabouts of a 49-year-old Shawn Lowe-Dillard, who was wanted under a Dade County warrant for four felony counts of stealing a motor vehicle. Upon arrival to the tip location in the Northwood Subdivision, near the Webster County line, deputies discovered a stolen Mercedes and an RV.
After failed attempts to make contact with the subjects inside the residence, deputies entered to find Lowe-Dillard hiding in a closet. He was arrested and extradited by Dade County on February 17th.
On the same day, Douglas County Deputy Stroud made a traffic stop on County Road 403, where K9 Yadi indicated a positive hit during an open air search around the vehicle. A pink back pack was located during the search of the vehicle containing a syringe, spoon, and glass smoking pipe, which all tested positive for methamphetamine.
The driver, 33-year-old Jessica Fardo-Puchta of Ava, was arrested, booked and held on a 24 hour investigation hold. A warrant was obtained for her arrest for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Fardo-Puchta posted bond through a bondsman on February 23rd.
