ARKANSAS – The deadline to reapply for the ARKids First Program is quickly approaching.
According to the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Monday March 1st will be the last day parents can refile for the state/federal hybrid youth health program. Amy Webb with the state department says about 34-thousand Arkansas kids will have their health insurance revoked at the beginning of next month.
Webb says it is possible families are not enrolling in the program this year because they are no longer eligible or have enrolled in other insurance plans through the federal health care initiative.
Currently, the Arkansas Department is Human services says it will be sending out healthcare cancellation notices on Friday.
