Two Men Receive Moderate Injuries in Motorcycle Crash

RUETER, Mo. – Two motorcycle operators suffer moderate injuries in a Saturday afternoon crash, five miles west of Rueter in Taney County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 63-year-old Lee Douglas of Warsaw, Missouri was traveling westbound on U-S 160 at 2 p.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve and overturned his motorcycle. Another westbound motorcycle, driven by David Monteer of Bates City, Missouri, attempted to avoid Douglas and overturned his motorcycle.

According to the online crash report, both men were ejected from their motorcycles. Douglas was transported by a private vehicle, and Monteer by ambulance, to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
