BRANSON, Mo. – Branson Fire-Rescue presents a course on the safe use of indoor pyrotechnics on Wednesday, February 24th.
This four-hour course is used to prepare theater owners, operators and technicians, who use pyrotechnics before a live audience, for testing to receive a license through the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.
This training program is required by state law to obtain a license from the Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office. In addition, all theatres using indoor pyrotechnics must apply for and secure a permit from the Branson Fire Rescue.
At the completion of the training course, participants will be eligible to take the written exam given by the Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office. Already licensed pyrotechnic operators may also attend this course to earn required continuing education credits.
The training is being held at the Branson Fire Rescue’s training center in Building 13 of the former Red Roof Mall located on Gretna Road in Branson.
To register for the course or for additional information, contact Branson Fire Rescue at (417) 243-2790. Applicants will need to order a copy 2016 edition of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 1126 prior to the class date.
