CLEVER, Mo. – A woman from Clever and two young children are injured in a two-vehicle crash on Jasmine Road two miles south of Clever in Christian County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Amber Weeks was eastbound at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, when her car crossed the center line, causing the vehicle’s side mirror to strike a westbound car driven by 23-year-old Meagan Skinner of Billings.

After the collision, Weeks’ vehicle ran into an embankment and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Weeks suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the accident report.

Two passengers – three-year-old Alicia Sanders of Aurora, and five-year-old Zachary Watson of Aurora – were transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Another passenger identified as Weeks’ son – four-year-old Alexander Clark of Clever – was not injured.

State troopers were assisted at the scene by Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies and Clever firefighters.
