Golden Man Seriously Injured in Crash on Hwy. 86

GOLDEN, Mo. – A man from Golden is seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 86 two miles west of Golden in Barry County.

State troopers say 50-year-old James Denney was eastbound at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, when his pickup traveled off the roadway, struck a driveway, overturned onto the driver’s side, then came to rest on its wheels.

Denney was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was cited for driving while intoxicated, failure to move over for a stationary emergency vehicle, driving while revoked, and failure to wear a seat belt.
