HARRISON, Ark. – People in Harrison will be freezin’ for a reason this weekend.
The polar Bear Plunge at Lake Harrison has turned into a local tradition, benefiting the not for profit, Sanctuary, according to one of the group’s board members Elizabeth Stephens.
Sanctuary is a shelter in Harrison for victims of domestic violence. Stephens says all of the proceeds will go directly back to the group:
The Polar Bear Plunge and 5k fun run/walk is scheduled for this Saturday, February 20th. She says the 5k starts at 9am that morning.
Registration for the plunge will be at 11:30. Polar Bear Plunge will be at noon.
