CASSVILLE, Mo. – After five terms in office, Barry County Sheriff Mick Epperly announces he will not be running for re-election this year.
Devoting the last 28 years of his life to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Epperly spent his first eight years with the department as a deputy; before running for sheriff in 1996.
In an interview with KRZK Reporter Tim Church, Epperly discussed his decision to not run for a sixth term:
Epperly says it’s his understanding that several people have voiced interest in running as a sheriff’s candidate. Epperly’s final term in office will come to an end on December 31, 2016.
