BRANSON, Mo. – Liquor licenses will be temporarily suspended next month at two Branson businesses cited by police for selling alcoholic beverages to minors.

Liquor Control Specialist Carl Garrett says employees of The Pantry on Fall Creek Drive sold alcohol to underage customers on three separate occasions since April of 2014…

Aldermen voted unanimously in support of the recommended suspension at The Pantry. However, the board decided to reduce a suggested five-day suspension at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, after hearing evidence the business went for more than two years without a citation, and implemented an internal liquor compliance program.

Applebee’s will not be permitted to sell alcohol over a three-day period, March 18-20.

Garrett says despite these individual cases, liquor compliance continues to improve in Branson. He says compliance rates increased from 89-percent in 2013, to 92-percent in 2015.
