YELLVILLE, Ark. – Both suspects in the Hilltop Liquor Store robbery in Summit turn themselves into Marion County authorities this week.

According to Sheriff Joan Vickers, 23-year-old Jacob Eakes and 23-year-old James Johnson are both facing felony aggravated robbery charges for holding up the store at gunpoint on January 14th.

Since then, both have been on the loose.

Authorities say they met up with Eakes on Tuesday in Jonesboro after he called the department to turn himself in. Investigators were then able to send a text message to Johnson regarding the investigation.

Johnson turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday.

Both men are being held in the Marion County Sheriff’s Office with a 100-thousand dollar bond.

A press release from the department indicates Eakes may also be linked to several other robberies in the Jonesboro area.
