BRANSON, Mo. – Silver Dollar City Entertainment Manager D.A. Callaway is named Bluegrass Promoter of the Year by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America.
Callaway received the award Sunday at the 42nd Annual National Bluegrass Awards Show in Nashville, marking the third time he’s been honored as the nation’s top Bluegrass promoter.
Callaway, who coordinates the popular Bluegrass & BBQ Festival at Silver Dollar City, is recognized for showcasing new artists and encouraging up-and-coming talent.
Also honored at the event, long-time SDC performer and Grammy-winner Rhonda Vincent took home awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
Vincent is scheduled to perform May 5-8 at this year’s Bluegrass & BBQ festival, along with other award-winning acts including Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and The Gibson Brothers.
