FORSYTH, Mo. – A man from Highlandville charged with first-degree murder in the death of 72-year-old Larry Adams of Hollister waives his preliminary hearing and is bound over to Taney County Circuit Court for arraignment.
Fifty-two-year-old Mark Bailey also faces charges of kidnapping and felonious restraint. He remains jailed without bond, with his arraignment hearing set for February 18th.
Another suspect in the case, 37-year-old Brandy Shaddox of Branson, is charged with first-degree murder, assault, armed criminal action, felonious restraint and forgery.
Police say Adams went missing in November, and his body was found two weeks later wrapped in a tarp, inside a vehicle at an abandoned home off Hamilton Road near Walnut Shade.
The car was registered to Shaddox, who had been living with Adams for several weeks leading up to his disappearance, according to a probable cause statement.
Shaddox is also jailed without bond, and is scheduled to appear in court again March 9th.
