Woman Accused of Motel Stabbing Pleads Not Guilty

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A woman from Mountain Home pleads not guilty in court on Thursday to stabbing another woman at a local motel.

According to court documents, 23-year-old Vanessa Henschel is facing first-degree battery charges and a parole violation, after an altercation at the Town and Country Motor Inn in Mountain Home at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The police report from the police department says Henschel stabbed another woman with a five inch blade in the neck and torso. Officials say the victim received non-life threatening injuries.

According to the police report, the injuries shown in her mugshot were obtained the night of the altercation from the victim’s boyfriend in an attempt to stop the assault.

Court documents show Henschel appeared in court via Skype. She is slated to appear again on March 17th.
