Mountain Home Woman Accused of Motel Stabbing

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A woman from Mountain Home is accused of stabbing another women in the neck at a motel room in Mountain Home.

According to the affidavit from the Mountain Home Police Department, 23-year-old Vanessa Henschel is facing first degree battery charges, after an altercation at the Town and County Motor Inn at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The report says Henschel joined the victim and her boyfriend inside the motel room. When the boyfriend left the room, the victim says Henschel picked up a knife and began stabbing her in the neck and torso, according to the report.

Authorities say the female victim received non-life threatening injures.

Henschel was arrested that night and is being held in the Baxter County Jail on a 250-thousand dollar bond.
