BRANSON, Mo. – The wait is nearly over for local geeks, nerds and members of every fandom as Branson’s 25th Annual Visioncon rapidly approaches.
For one whole weekend, February 26th to the 28th, the Branson Convention Center will be filled with prominent authors, artists, cosplayers and entertainers from the Sci-Fi Gaming and Comic Book industry, not to mention a very special guest appearance by everyone’s favorite Wookiee, Chewbacca himself Peter Mayhew.
Visioncon also includes a number of vendors, a multitude of cosplayers, clubs, organizations, costume contests, and even 24 hour gaming, according to Visioncon Marketing Director Andrea Smith:
Andrea says something that sets Visioncon apart from other cons is that Visioncon is a Not for Profit convention. In the last three years alone, Visioncon had raised over 15-thousand-dollars for charity, and this year proceeds will be supporting the charity Care to Learn.
Pre-registration is ongoing and is available up until the week before the con. More information on Visioncon and their 2016 charity Care to Learn can be found here and here and be sure to like Visioncon on Facebook.
