HUNTSVILLE, Ark. – Huntsville will be getting Madison County’s very first stoplight this year.
Officials with the Department of Highway Transportation in Arkansas say the light will be put at the intersection of Lee Street and Highway 23 in Huntsville to help with traffic near the school.
The city’s Public Works Director Jason Polley says work on the traffic signal will start this month and should be done before the end of the year.
Madison is one of five counties in Arkansas that do not yet have electric traffic signals.
