PYATT, Ark. – A boil order is in effect for people who live in rural Pyatt, Arkansas.
The Pyatt Water District says there was a water main break over the weekend and while city’s water crews have repaired the break, they are not sure if the water was effected.
According to the department, people just outside of Pyatt city limits are effected, while those inside the city limits should have safe drinking water. Authorities say until two separate water samples come back from testing without any hazard, the order will remain in effect.
People in the rural Pyatt area are strongly advised to boil their water for 10 to 15 minutes before use in case of contamination, according to the city department.
