GREEN FOREST, Ark. – Two men are arrested and charged following an armed robbery in Green Forest Monday evening.

Carroll County Chief Sheriff’s Deputy George Frye says 45-year-old Christopher Barker and 19-year-old Travis Boling, both of Green Forest, were taken into custody based on eye witness accounts, physical and digital evidence recovered at Hugh Mini Mart, and physical evidence recovered at a home in Green Forest.

Frye says an employee of the convenience store took a photo of the suspects’ vehicle after a man left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee said a man entered the store around 5 p.m., raised his shirt tail, showing what appeared to be a pistol in his waist band, and demanded money.

The photo was used to match the suspect vehicle with a vehicle registered in the Arkansas State Police reporting system. Green Forest Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle about 3 blocks from a previously given address.

Christopher Barker is charged with aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm by certain person, theft and commercial burglary. Travis Boling is charged with aggravated robbery, theft and commercial burglary.

Both men are being held in the Carroll County Jail.
