BRANSON, Mo. – The pilot of the balloon that landed at Holiday Hills Golf Course yesterday morning says it was not due to any sort of equipment malfunction, but instead was a routine landing.
Hometown Daily News reported yesterday of a possible mechanical problem that led to an emergency landing, according to a resident at Holiday Hills.
Rodney Williams, owner of Branson Balloons and the pilot of the balloon yesterday says he has an open invitation to land at Holiday Hills:
Williams says the Ozarks terrain of hills, valleys, trees, and lakes makes his landing options limited and golf courses such as Holiday Hills provide an easier landing.
Williams says he’s been flying balloons for nearly 25 years and he’s never had an accident or issue with any of his balloons.
