(Harrison) – Recently 176 men participated in the 24th Annual Prostate Cancer Screening provided by North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, in the Claude Parrish Radiation Therapy Institute.
Men were given the option of a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) Blood Test and/or a DRE (digital rectal exam). The exam was provided free of cost to the participants. The blood test was offered at a reduced cost of $10.
Urologist Dr. Scott Ferguson volunteered his services to help men in this area receive this potentially life-saving screening. NARMC Auxilians and hospital staff members assisted with the program to help make this screening the huge success that it was.
Participants were from: Alpena, Berryville, Compton, Deer, Diamond City, Everton, Green Forest, Harrison, Hasty,HolidayIsland, Jasper, Lakeview, Lead Hill, Leslie, Marble Falls, Marshall, Mt. Judea, Oak Grove, Omaha, Parthenon, Pyatt, St. Joe, Western Grove, and Yellville, Arkansas.
