Crash Kills 4 Teens Near Highlandville

thumb_2ac929ba93bc855HIGHLANDVILLE, Mo. – Four teenagers are killed in a car crash in northern Stone County last night near Highlandville on Pleasant View Road.

According to state troopers, 17-year-old Landon Potts of Nixa was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup with seven passengers southbound on Pleasant View Road about four miles west of Highlandville. At approximately 10:40 p.m., the pickup traveled off the left side of the road and hit a tree, according to police.

Potts, and fellow passengers 19-year-old Lance Potterfield of Sparta, 19-year-old Logan Middleton and 19-year-old Cody Uber all from Nixa were pronounced dead around 12:40 a.m. by Stone County Coroner John Cunningham. All four were reportedly not wearing seatbelts.

The four survivors in the accident are 19-year-old Dylan Wright of Ozark, 19-year-old William Ramage, 18-year-old Tyler Rollings, and 18-year-old Wyatt Beebe of Nixa.

Wright and Ramage are listed with serious injuries and were taken to Cox South in Springfield. The other two passengers, Wyatt and Rollings are listed with minor injuries.
