A man accused of transporting an Alpena teenager to Texas pleads guilty in federal court to transportation with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.
Investigators say 39-year-old Jason DelBosque contacted 16-year-old Treyli Blackwell on a social media website before she left her home in Alpena back in June. Blackwell turned herself in to local authorities in Texas, and law enforcement officers apprehended DelBosque a short time later.
Carroll County Sheriff Bob Grudek says DelBosque will be required to complete at least 25 years of his 30-year federal sentence, making him 64 years old when he could become eligible for release. Grudek says DelBosque is also facing charges in the state of Georgia, including child molestation, sexual battery and failure to register as a sex offender.
Authorities in Texas also have charges against DelBosque for absconding from his parole and failure to register as a sex offender.
DelBosque will be formally sentenced within the next 60 days in federal court at Ft. Smith.
