MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A couple is sentenced to four years probation after pleading no contest to endangering the welfare of a child as part of a plea deal in Baxter County Circuit Court.
Thirty-nine-year-old Stephanie Motes and 41-year-old Wayne Motes, who now live in Springfield, were arrested in Mountain Home following a domestic disturbance at their home in November 2013. According to police, Wayne attempted to punch an officer while Stephanie allegedly had possession of marijuana.
The Department of Human Services took custody of their toddler child who later tested positive for methamphetamine.
