Area Choirs Perform on Showboat

thumb_ab0cbd0a6af82a9(Branson, MO 11/2014) Back this holiday season, the Showboat Branson Belle presents four special “Carols on the Belle” cruises in November and December, featuring Dove Award-winning and Grammy-nominated Southern Gospel groups, plus performances by the College of the Ozarks Handbell Choir and area high school choirs.

Carols on the Belle presents

  • The Triumphant Quartet, 5-time Traditional Quartet of the Year, on Nov. 23,
  • Mark Trammell Quartet, featuring 5-time Baritone of the Year, Mark Trammell, plus The Whisnantswith over 13 #1 Southern Gospel Songs onNov. 30
  • LeFevre Quartet, Diamond Award Winners for Album of the Year, onDec. 7
  • Karen Peck & New River, 11-time Soprano of the Year and 3-time Grammy nominees, onDec. 14

Student choir performances on the Showboat Landing and in the pre-show onboard include the Ozark High School Choir on Nov. 23, the Republic High School Choir on Nov. 30, the Nixa High School Choir on Dec. 7, and the Bergman High School Choir of Harrison, Ark., on Dec. 24. The College of the Ozarks Handbell Choir will perform on all Carols on the Belle cruises, and Santa will meet with kids in the ship’s atrium.

These cruises include a new holiday mealof pork loin with apple stuffing, plus an apple cinnamon torte drizzled with caramel sauce. The Showboat departs from White River Landing decorated with Christmas lights and guests can view holiday lights along the shore as the ship cruises Table Rock Lake.

Cruises featuring the Christmas “Made in the U.S.A.” show featuring aerial violinist Janice Martin, the vocal group The ShowMen and emcee/magician Christopher James run through December 31, with a special New Year’s Eve cruise at 8 p.m. on December 31.
