Software Issues Corrected for Runoff

thumb_f4750d81684336fHARRISON, Ark. – Voter counting software issues won’t play a factor in the upcoming mayoral runoff race in two weeks, according to Boone County Election Coordinator, Beckie Benton.

Benton says the technical difficulties delayed the unofficial results from the mid-term election.  She says worked with software technicians for four hours on election night until the issue was resolved:

The Boone County Clerk’s Office voting software is outdated and runs off an operating system similar to MS-DOS:

The two candidates competing in the runoff, Dan Sherrell and Jerry Jackson, will appear in a mayoral forum today at 1 p.m. on AM 900 KHOZ.
